I think he may have given up. His last post was four hours ago, and there have been a dozen posts dunking on him since then.

Nope, last post was at 11:09pm - 2 hours ago as of this post. Dude never learns, never changes.
 
Yeah, I spoke too soon, he's posted 5 times since I posted that.

Having scrolled his blog, I think he's a real piece of shit. I know there's a wide range of politics on this blog, but I doubt anyone here would think the videos he posted on July 11 are ok. (Well, maybe Prince).

Spoiler: I'm talking about politics. Well, mostly various forms of prejudice. Don't look if you plan to argue with me about it.

I considered posting it, put it's just too awful. The video uses AI to make Black women look like gorillas. Just beyond the pale. Dude generally hates women, especially women who aren't Tradwives - oh, sorry, I mean he hates "modern females." Also, overweight women (from his pic, he's no-one to talk), and most especially Black women. Oh, also trans women. And Black Africans, who, apparently, aren't grateful enough to the white dudes who taught them everything they know.

Dude's got a lot of anger and a lot of hate, and loves his conspiracy theories. "Ancient Gay Latino" (his words) doesn't realize he lives in a glass house.
 
I was expecting vitriol, but wow, that's a brand I honestly hadn't anticipated. It's like seeing one of those shouty Tumblr feminists marching in a Klan rally. Glass house indeed.
 
Prince has entered the chat and is being uncharacteristically polite. EDIT: Well, he's still impolite to GusL.
 
There's a certain bit of etiquette that has been lacking in the OSR, or at least at Tenfootpole. Creators should never respond to negative reviews. It makes them look weak and ineffective when they do. If only this guy had followed that rule.

It amuses me that he doesn't realize the dude impersonating him was almost certainly Prince.
 
I'm digging up bigots like worms from the garden, it seems. First squeen, then Lopez, and now Prince. Got a sense of 'em, like a bird.

Shit, I owe you an apology. I misunderstood one of your posts and posted a reply that I now wish I hadn't.

@bryce0lynch, if you could delete my "Reality Unbound" post from today at 2:04 PM I would greatly appreciate it. @DangerousPuhson, you might want to ask the same of your reply at 2:19.

No apology needed, the misunderstanding was perfectly understandable (wait, if that's not an oxymoron I don't know what is). The limitations of the posting software created confusion with the nested replies, and this was a general observation I wanted to make. It was partially in reply to DP, but as DP noted, there was more to his original reply as well.

Having been the targets of witch hunts/cancellations over D&D, heavy metal music, and who knows what else I am very leery of applying it on other people. It's one of those things. The persecuted often become the persecutors themselves. I'd rather not fall into that trap. And besides, witch hunts and the resulting paranoia are not fun to deal with.

Excellent! Contrary to popular belief, I love it when folks get along. I'm a very "live and let live" kind of guy. I consider myself well capable of admitting mistake, apologizing, burying a hatchet, and self-change. I'm no fan of witch hunts, but what I especially don't go in for is people being total dickheads - they do not "let live", so to speak. When you see me with claws extended, know that it's only ever in self-defense; admittedly I sometimes go overboard in my retaliation (and I will be the first to stop myself), particularly when things get personal, but I simply do not abide by insults against me, nor uncalled-for hostility, nor do I abide by attacks on the innocent and the well-meaning.

R.A. was a foul foe and a petty man; had he just taken his lumps and left, he'd have had no qualms with any of us, and likely more sales of the product he was here to so vehemently defend. But foul foes are not so easily pacified, and thus spawned the greatest comment section war I've ever seen. Hopefully one day he will mend his ways, though I suspect he's well past that point of no return. I can't hold his decline against him (we are all products of nature and nurture, after all), but I can honestly say that we are all collectively better with less of his type around here. He brought nothing but vitriol and chaos, as will many others in his wake I'm sure.

I grow weary. Prince and his relentless criticisms of my intellect, squeen and his insistence on making everything political, EOTB and TerribleSorcerer dogpiling after Prince's lead - it makes me question why I bother with such (no offense) inconsequential communities as these. But then I see olive branches being passed like the one above, I see people engaging in good faith and genuine rapport, I see community in the real sense of the word, and it draws me back in. I'm grateful to those who don't write me off immediately. Thank you.

Nah I still stand by it - nobody was talking cancellation until Prince brought it up. We were all just looking to calm the raging Karen-beast that was this Lopez fellow.

He's a bigot - and while I don't personally abide the presence of bigots like he and Prince and squeen and any others who may or may not be lurking in the woodwork, it's not my place to keep them away. I don't cancel people (mainly because, by nature, one person cannot cancel anyone on their own). That being said, Lopez seems to have fled for the time being, message finally having been received. So I consider the matter closed, unless folk are going to stick around and continue poking this bear.

I think @bryce0lynch may have hit him with the ban hammer, though I could be wrong.

And also, I must admit that I committed the original sin of not reading the entire thread I was adding to. I had already dismissed RA as someone to be ignored and I was going to keep out of the discussion, but the entrance of Prince meant things would get a lot more spicy.
